I have been battling some pretty bad thrush with my 21 yr old horse to the point the farrier told me to pinesol soak (yikes!). I came across the Blue Hoof clay and spray through Instagram and gave a hail Mary and ordered in hopes it would be the miracle I needed. It arrived quickly and was packaged securely. I started applying the blue clay a month ago every day and noticed how dry the hoof was between applications. It is easy to apply, stays in place, and is easy to get into the deep grooves of the frog and hoof. I am now down to every other day of application. I was using Blue Hoof clay concurrently with an iodine clay but I noticed the iodine clay kept the tissue soft but the blue Hoof clay dried the tissue out and started hardening the frog with each application. I am happy this stuff works and wasn't like the rest of the expensive products that don't stay on the frog and hoof and barely show any changes during daily applications. This is the best thrush medicine, hands down. I have been battling thrush in my mare for over a month. Nothing was working. In just 3 treatments and 4 days, my mare’s feet have improved dramatically. I was in shock! This stuff is truly magic. And I cannot get over how quickly, and effectively, it helped. The proof is in these pictures.
I have some constructive criticism for the company. First, it would be helpful to have a set of clear directions. Do I need the spray? Do I need the clay? Do I need both? Do I spray first or after the clay? In what situations should I be using one over the other? I bought the bundle because I wasn’t sure. I dripped the liquid in first, then packed with the clay. Second, the sprayer on the bottle almost immediately stopped working. I replaced it with an applicator tip so I could drip it into the grooves. It would be nice if there was a choice of sprayer or applicator tip. And third, because this stuff works so well, there should be a referral program. I’ve already gotten three other people in my barn to order it for themselves. I told them how well the product worked and all three people immediately made a purchase! I will be ordering more regardless, but it might be a mutually beneficial program if there was a referral incentive.

I have seen this product advertised for a while now and will admit I was hesitant to try. With some of my rescue donkeys, we have been battling thrush for quite some time. I've tried vet products, over the counter products from squeeze on to packing and wrapping to spraying, to painting, to packing again and have had a couple kiddos I just don't feel like I'm making progress with. I'm talking severely cracked frogs, wet, rubbery soles, can't get them to dry out (regardless of everyone in a dry lot.) My vet and farrier telling me to not give up, it can take a long time for some of them. So, out of desperation, I said, let's try it. They have a guarantee so why not?! Within two days of just using the spray I was blown away. The one who is the worst, still had that dreaded smell but not as bad. I decided to try the clay. Packed all her hooves and wrapped overnight. When I removed yesterday, I was blown away. I'm talking dry hooves. Smell completely gone. The progress and healing just within that short window. I was speechless. I called my husband right away just completely amazed. Definitely placing another order to make sure I always have this stocked. Simply amazing.
These are products ALL equestrians and every barn should have on hand. Even if you don't think your horse has an issue with thrush, you'd be surprised at the improvement in your horses' feet. I ran everything by our farrier before using and I'm absolutely amazed at how quickly it works. In one application, the little bit of thrush that one horse had is already gone with no signs of return! I love how easy it is to use and how well it works!
This blew other brands out of the water. I used to use Listerine and water instead of paying for the high prices items. But now I SWEAR by this!! Highly recommend.
